Cantwell Cliffs is one of the six major areas of Hocking Hills State Park.Old
Man's Cave, Ash Cave, Rock House, Conkle's
Hollow, Cedar Falls and Cantwell Cliffs. Each of the park areas offer a
unique experience for those who walk their paths. From hemlock-lined trails,
to huge rock formation, waterfalls to rock bridges, guests to the park are
sure to treasure their explorations for years to come. Rich
in forested areas and natural wonders, there are over 25 miles of hiking trails
in the Hocking Hills State Park system.

Winding narrow passages,
steep inclines and a mysterious rock shelter makes Cantwell Cliffs an
exciting place to visit. Kids love the passages and wildflower
enthusiasts will be floored by the numbers of species in the spring.
From Logan
Take State Route 33 north toward Lancaster and then to
State Route 374
Interesting things to look for:
Cantwell Cliffs offer hikers some of the most
colorful in the fall. In the spring, it's touted for a wide array
of wildflowers. But compared to most of the other trails, it is more remote
if you wish to pass fewer hikers on hot, summer days.
A winding trail follows a narrow passageway
and ends in a rock shelter. The trail is about a mile and takes 1- 1 1/12
hours to hike
